D.I.Y Jewelry Box Makeover

So this week I'm sharing one of my favorite past times, turning blahhhh stuff into lovelyish!

I've been really into taking old jewelry boxes and giving them makeovers. In such a weird way, its so stress relieving for me. The whole idea that I can take something and give it new life with a creative twist is just amazing to me. I scope out garage sales and goodwill for them. My favorites are the solid ones without the glass windows, but I like challenges too.

Anyways, this is more of a d.i.y/inspirational post to spark creativity. Before you get rid of your old or unused jewelry box, think to yourself- what can I do to turn this into some lovelyish?! Well, let me inspire you.



Below is my most recent find. I picked it up for a the low price of $3! Everything was still intact with only minor flaws. When I saw this, I knew exactly what it needed.

Today I'm gonna be sharing a D.I.Y./re-purposed upcycle! Before we get into it though, i want to share a little backstory on the inspiration behind it.

My husband loves catfishing. He started fishing with his Papaw at a young age and has been hooked ever since. (Pun intended lol!) If he's not working or at home, he's on the river. Fishing is his go to hobby, stress reliever and it's something he loves sharing with us as family. Seeing his face light up telling his childhood stories and watching how excited he gets before he goes out has got me hooked. A family that fishes together, stays together!
