If you haven't noticed, I am a mom. My crown is a messy bun, my OOTD is usually some form of leggings topped with a tee and my face is normally bare. But that's not always the case. Sometimes I do get 8 hours of sleep in 4 hours and my morning coffee will raise me from the dead just enough to put on some war paint. So today I'm giving you a look inside my summer makeup bag! Right now its filled with all my summer favorites! So lets start at the top and work our way down through my 8 summer beauty must haves- swatches included!

First things first, brows. I got really lucky with my eyebrows. They've got the natural arch and they don't require any fill. Now, I have no judgement towards anyone for how they do theirs, as long as they look like eyebrows. Draw them on, paint them on- do you boo. I just use a clear gel to make them presentable. My go-to for this is Rimmel Brow This Way in clear. It goes on really easy with a mascara type brush, isn't heavy or hardening and washes off just as easy.

Next are the eyes. Prime, shadow, eyeliner and mascara. I put a little more effort into this. Out of a six drawer makeup storage container, 3 are dedicated to eyes.
Primer- I use E.l.f. eye primer & liner sealer. It goes on smooth, blends out easy and gives great staying power to eyeshadow (and eyeliner) without creasing.

Shadow- I tend to stick with neutral colors and occasionally I'll spice it up with burgundy or greens. My favorite palette is Kat Von D's Shade + Light Eye. The texture and blend-ability is to die for. I love this palette. My second go-to is Wet N Wild Comfort Zone. The colors are great and I tend to wear them as single shadows with liner.

Eyeliner- my favorite liner, my ride or die for the past 6 years, is Loreal Infallible The Super Slim liquid liner. This liner goes on easy and does not budge. Its a 12 hour formula that does not play around. I will be devastated if it ever gets discontinued.

Mascara- oh man I've tried so many mascaras, wasted so much money to be disappointed. That's until I found Benefit They're Real mascara! It gives you the length and fullness without having to use falsies. It doesn't clump and fans out the lashes, and the brush even makes bottom lash application super easy.

On to the face! Its summer time so I don't do much with my face- no contour, blush and highlight. I go with a BB Cream that has sunscreen in it. My pick for this is Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfector. (That's a mouth full lol!) It's light, doesn't melt off my face and gives my skin some life. The bonus is that it has SPF 30 in it so my face is protected.

Last are the lips! I have 3 lipsticks I reach for most. Wet N Wild in Bare It All, Revlon Color Burst Matte Balm in Sultry and Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Meritage. All are long lasting with minimal reapplication, minimal transfer and aren't hard to wash off. All are natural/nude colors that compliment my skin tone. And its said that Wet N Wild's Bare It All is a dupe for Velvet Teddy.

To finish it off, I'll spray a couple spritzes of NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray. This stuff keeps my makeup in place while chasing the tiny army around. It's literally a face saver!

Applying these products takes anywhere from 5-10 mins, so they're great for busy moms! They're also long lasting so you don't have to waste time reapplying- and lets be real, who has time for that?

So what's in your summer makeup bag? What are your must have makeup products? Share with me! Please feel free to comment, I would love to hear from you!

Thank you so much for reading and remember, always enjoy the little things!

D.I.Y Bait Tank

Hey There! Disclaimer: This blog post contains  affiliate links. I may earn a small commission if you use these links to make a purchase. You won't be charged extra. Today I'm gonna be sharing a D.I.Y./re-purposed upcycle! Before we get into it though, i want to share a little backstory on the inspiration behind it.  (Tennessee, 2016) My husband loves catfishing . He started fishing with his Papaw at a young age and has been hooked ever since. (Pun intended lol!) If he's not working or at home, he's on the river.  Fishing is his go to hobby, stress reliever and it's something he loves sharing with us as family. Seeing his face light up telling his childhood stories and watching how excited he gets before he goes out has got me hooked. A family that fishes together, stays together! (Tennessee, 2017)     (Ohio, 2018) (Ohio, left is 2017 @ 8 months pregnant, right is 2018) So, when my husband told me that we were picking up a broken de

D.I.Y Jewelry Box Makeover

Hey There! So this week I'm sharing one of my favorite past times, turning blahhhh stuff into lovelyish! Lovelyish = lovely shit.   Lovelyish With Danie = Lovely Shit with Danie The more you know, lol. I've been really into taking old jewelry boxes and giving them makeovers. In such a weird way, its so stress relieving for me. The whole idea that I can take something and give it new life with a creative twist is just amazing to me. I scope out garage sales and goodwill for them. My favorites are the solid ones without the glass windows, but I like challenges too. Anyways, this is more of a d.i.y/inspirational post to spark creativity. Before you get rid of your old or unused jewelry box, think to yourself- what can I do to turn this into some lovelyish?! Well, let me inspire you. Below is my most recent find. I picked it up for a the low price of $3! Everything was still intact with only minor flaws. When I saw this, I knew exactly what it needed.
